It's Never Too Late
"There is nothing so useless as doing efficiently that which should not be done at all."~Peter Drucker.
Whether you're 35, 55, or 75 — it's never too late. You may have failed royally. You may have walked away from something you should have finished. You may have started over so many times you've lost count.
It. Is. Never. Too. Late.
Don't believe me? Consider these four:
Harland Sanders was 62 years old, living out of his car, cooking chicken by the side of the road. You know him as Colonel Sanders, and as the "overnight success" behind Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Dave Ramsey declared bankruptcy and lost everything twice before he ever became a household name. You know him as America's most trusted voice on money and the man who helped millions get out of debt.
Ray Kroc was a 52-year-old milkshake machine salesman when he stumbled onto a little burger stand in San Bernardino, California. You know it as McDonald's.
Gradually. Then suddenly.
That's my story too.
For over 30 years, I poured myself into Christian radio — K-LOVE was home for more than a decade. When that chapter closed in 2015, I found myself asking the question so many people ask in transition: Now what?
At 58, I graduated from college, forty years after I walked away from it. That same season, I became the chaplain at The Broadmoor, one of the most iconic resorts in the world, walking alongside leaders quietly asking: Is there still more?
There's always more.
Then COVID hit. I became a Ramsey Preferred Coach. At 62, I joined the John Maxwell Team and packed up for a new beginning in Texas. At 63, I published Your Fab 5. At 66, Beyond the Noise hit #1 on Amazon. Most recently, I co-authored The Influential Leader alongside two men I'm honored to call partners and friends.
Gradually. Then suddenly.
I'm not sharing this to impress you. I'm sharing it because I spent too many years believing my best days were behind me, and what I found on the other side of that lie is the whole reason New Beginnings Texas exists.
So let me ask you something.
What's the chapter you keep putting off? The degree, the business, the book? The conversation you've been avoiding? The dream filed under "someday"?
It's not too late. It was never too late.
Your next chapter isn't behind you. It's waiting onyou.
And if you're ready to stop waiting, I'd love to help you write it.
